About Kate

Kate Duncan is currently the Director of Multimedia at the United Way of Central Virginia. There, she visually promotes the mission of UWCV and she takes care of all digital and print media. Prior to UWCV, she spent over a year at Riverviews Artspace, where she was the Media Manager, also managing all digital and print media.

A recent graduate of the University of Lynchburg (‘22), Kate was very active in her tenure at the University. Majoring in graphic design and with a minor in digital media, she was the co-creator of the Official University of Lynchburg Tartan. She also worked on a number of art department projects, including the Aurous Journal of Visual Arts and Creative Writing, and was an assistant in the Art Department’s Mac Lab. In addition, she was sports photographer for the Lynchburg Hornets Sports Network (LHSN) and began her time at Riverviews Artspace working part time until accepting a full time position after graduation.

When not designing, you can likely find Kate at the soccer field. After being a 4-year member of the University of Lynchburg Women’s Soccer team, Kate continues to spread her passion for soccer by coaching at Jefferson Forest High School and CVU. She enjoys being active in general, always ready to go to a hike or hit up the softball field.
